10 Fun F1 Things Without an F1 Ticket!24 Sep
It’s the F1 weekend! Have you gotten bitten by the F1 bug yet?
For the benefit of you who are not keeping track, the F1 race will start this Friday! (Woohoo!) For those of you who want to get into the fever but you’re on a tight budget, we have crafted a list of “Top 10 Things To Do to Feel F1-ish” for you to indulge in!
Okay go? Let’s go!
1. Get yourself a TAMIYA car and fix it! Live your childhood again: choose the most prime and clean drain in your neighbourhood & race with your friends! You can get this little box of happiness from most departmental stores, toys section (A great excuse to head down to Toys R Us!).
2. Visit F1 photographer Paul-Henri Cahier at an outdoor art exhibition as he showcases the snapshots of F1 worldwide. Exhibition’s located along Orchard Road stretch between Wheelock Place and Far East Shopping Centre.
3. Ngee Ann City – F1 Fast & Fabulous Carnival all the way until 28 September!
4. Ever heard of The Screening Room? This cool hangout is going F1 with ‘The Red and Black Party: Seduce Your Senses’ this week! Check out their website for more details!
5. This weekend, get cool stuffs and dig into bargains at the SG Car Boot Sale – Playground @ Big Splash. After that, enjoy the sea breeze while relaxing by the beach! Or rent a bicycle and start your own Formula 1 Bike Race!
6. Pit your cornering skills against your buddies at the Luge in Sentosa.
7. Two words: Go Kart!
8. Get/Borrow/Beg a portable TV, park yourself at the fringe of the F1 circuit (Legally of course!). Get cold drinks and some munchies & enjoy the bright lights & chaos of F1 as if you are actually there! (well almost! haha)
9. ‘Rev Up on Orchard’ with a gig at Paragon from 4.00 to 7.00 pm (until Sunday). Presented by *SCAPE in celebration with the Singapore Grand Prix Season, be entertained with Jack and Rai, Inch Chua, Jon Chan, For This Cycle, Marchtwelve! Enjoy!
10. & one of my personal favourites, Host D-I-Y F1 party! Go pot-luck, Slack in front of Channel 5 & Enjoy the great company!
