Recession Tips : Goodies Bag21 Sep
Good Morning!
How are your events planning activities coming along?
Feeling that you are restricted by your budget and you can’t plan much?
Not to fear, the Sidekicks are here!
Being Singaporeans, we have come to expect freebies and goodies every time we attend a function or anything else that we are attending. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s a good marketing situation where people will be hungry for your promotional stuffs.
But during this recession, the simplest of freebies will be that much costly and we have to control the amount spent. So how do we overcome this hurdle and still be able to meet our events and marketing needs?
Here’s my suggestion, give away valuable things that are already free!
Like what?
Coupons!
Besides coupons for your own marketing purpose, insert coupons of other organization.
Food coupons have always been a hit!
Burger King, KFC, McDonalds, KOFU Food Court and many many more!
If you are familiar with “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” you would understand that “Physiological Needs” will be top priority! And that means survival, which means food! And Singaporeans love to eat!
Next you can source out coupons for, “Safety Needs”, “Love Needs”, “Esteem Needs” and “Self-Actualization”.
Although it might not be possible to cover all aspect of the pyramid, it’d be a good starting point for your brainstorming process!
Packed up all the coupons in an inexpensive envelope, tie an inexpensive parcel string around it and add a handwritten thank you note, voila! You would have a much appreciated recession survival pack!
And don’t worry; If you feel that the other coupons are overshadowing your own coupons, I can guarantee you, if you cover their needs and give them what they needed most, they will remember you for sure!
And that’s a very big Marketing ROI.
Cheers!
