Lessons in the Morning!01 Oct
For the very first time in my life, I attended a Business Network meeting on Wednesday. It really threw me off course – I thought I was going to be tired & worn out seeing how we had to be there by 7.30am
I was so glad to be wrong!
Everyone’s upbeat, cheering each other & enthused by the positive energy that each of them brings to the table. The time spent was worth it. Here are some lessons that I’ve picked up from that morning encounter:
- “The early bird catches the early worm”.
- Be the first to smile!
- Keep the speeches short, sweet & simple.
- Don’t wait: make the first move.
- Un-expectations can be an advantage.
- Be open to comments.
- When given the opportunity, network!
Simple and yet great reminders of good morals for me to learn from.
Too early or not, it has opened up my eyes to the many great possibilities of networking. I hope we’ll be given another opportunity again !:)
