Saturday Night Fever – Mudd&Nadd Style!15 Dec

Would you believe me if I told you that we pulled off a Dinner & Dance in just 17 days? Yes, you read right. 2.5 weeks was all we had to plan, purchase & execute the event.

The Theme: Balik Kampung! (Back to the Village!)

It was really exciting -running around getting vintage items, shopping for presents, designing decor, getting the right soundtrack & looking through black & White videos, reminiscing about the good ol’ kampung days… My list goes on & on..! What I really loved were the rushes, the huge dollops of laughter & watching it all come together on an eventful Saturday.

Looking at the guests just enjoying themselves totally made the 17 days worth of planning worth it!

I’m just gonna let the pictures speak for themselves!

A Day with MuddNadd.com10 Dec

dayone
hrrmz, one day with muddnadd.com.

it feels like a total nightmare. hahaha. ok im kidding. ouh well where shall i start with? ok heres the thing, ive never known nadd as well as mudd. so when mudd says to meet up at 2pm, i decided to be early. but somehow in my heart, i know mudd’s gonna be late. so as early as i am, i left house only at 220pm. hahaha. true enough when i called, mudd’s at home. prrfft. and while waiting, i saw an unfamiliar number calling. as ive just changed to a new phone, i just picked up in case its one of my friends who called and..

me: hello?
other line: eh fit, sorry aku lambat.. (eh fit, sorry im late)
me: nadd? ok.
mudd (background): bilang dia its not me who’s late! bilang dia! (tell me its not me who’s late! tell him!)

ouh bugger. okok what ever lah both of you.

so in the train, i decided to be as irritating as possible with my nonsensical antics. heh. i believe i was quite good at it. only mudd knew how to handle it. nadd couldnt.

wait, did i tell u why the hell did i meet up with them for? hahahaha. we were supposed to test out the sounds and videos for their upcoming big event. im the soundman. like duh. where was it? ermm YMCA building in Dhoby Ghaut. its quite small lah the place. but an event is still an event. and me being a first timer as a soundman was quite excited actually. just didnt want to show. haha. :)

had dinner with them at orchard. took the correct bus to far east. took the wrong bus to one fullerton starbucks. thanks eh. practise my “DJ-ing” skills, and then continued with my own work, while they do theirs. the picture above is a peek of whats to come this saturday.

phew.

Birthday By The Beach!07 Oct

Birthday by The Beach (dubbed “One Sweet Day”) was a success!

It’s great to see something that we’ve planned become an actual celebration for someone else. I think the best part about this was that we saw their happy reactions & the final outcome of all that planning!

Totally not bad for an event that was planned 1 and a half weeks prior to 6 October. I’m glad our Superhero & the birthday girl loved it.  :)

I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

After a while, the gazebo looked so belonged on the beach, as if it was meant to be there all this while. Yes, it’s quite obvious: I’m still reveling in the post-event euphoria. :)

Enjoy & Happy Planning! :)

Preparation for Tomorrow!05 Oct

What’s on Tomorrow?

Imagine a romantic 5 star dining setting, take it out of the normal indoor location and then place this image on a sandy beach accompanied by  the tranquil sounds of the sea. That’s what we’re going to be seting up for tomorrow!

Mudd&Nadd is planning a special day for one of our Superheroes (read: client) – a posh dinner by the beach at sunset for his special someone! & man, are we excited!

Besides the fun of planning, this private event provides a great photo op (not to mention something superbly memorable  for the Superhero) and proves what we’ve been reiterating all the time – anything’s possible! :)

And of course, seeing how we have less than 2 weeks to plan (we’re excited & motivated by that too!) we got straight to planning right away!

Today, we went shopping for logistics, decor, lighting & accessories!

Tomorrow, we’re getting transportation, other minor details & down to the beach we go! :) Ahhh….. the thrill of planning & executing always gets me happy & ready for action!

Watch this space for updates & pictures! I cannot wait to show you!

All fired up,

Nadd

LED Fun!18 Sep

Hi All!

Since Mudd&Nadd is in a DIY mood. I thought I share with you more DIY ideas. What I’m showing you is not something new, it’s been around for quite sometime only.

The people at Graffiti Research Lab designed this craze and I feel it’s super brilliant and have so much possibilities for it to be developed further!

Check out the video to get what I mean.

Introducing throwies!

I bet you want to make some yourself now. Here’s how!

Cool huh? You can purchase the parts and stuffs at Sim Lim Tower easily. It’s gonna prolly cost you around $2-3 per throwie.

I think I’m gonna get some for myself soon!

Already thinking of throwing it into a recycled bottle and use it as a table lamp. You will not only save money but you’ll score points by being green and greening the event! Isn’t that a great win-win situation?

Have fun experimenting! Will update you once I get it done!

Our First Book!13 Sep

If you have already noticed, Nadd and me are big on the Idea Book. We love the idea book. We will finish up the pages of the idea book so quickly; we need to replenish it ever so frequently!

So we decided, why not we design one ourselves! One that is fully customized to our needs and one that we are proud to share with everybody!

And so we went to a craft shop to get a whole lot of stuffs and started DIY-ing. The end result a book, “Handmade to Appear Factory Made”.

So what’s so special about our idea book?

1.    It is small enough to bring everywhere
2.    Individual pages are perforated – so that we can easily tear out the pages and share it if we want to
3.    We have included sticker labels at the back for us to utilize
4.    And the best part is, the pages are not just plain boring ones! We have included our very own motivational quotes! Each page has a unique quote and you sure can bet they are quirky!

So basically it’s not just a book with empty pages, it is a BOOK! Like those motivational books you can buy off the shelf! The only difference this is made with Love. :]

The pictures below were taken with my handphone camera and doesn’t justify the quality of our creation. :P Need to get a hold on a DSLR. Anybody wants to help us take the pictures? We will treat you lunch! Promise!

So what do you think?

Would you like to have one of your own?

Or would you like to learn how make one yourself?

Tell us!

We like to share our love for the idea book with everyone!

Keep the smile on!

I think I’m gonna start sharing with you guys more pages from my thoughts. woooo… deep…. heh.

Cheers!

-Mudd-

p.s. Apologies for the handwriting. hahaha. I know, I know, its not the best of handwriting. But well, great minds have lousy handwriting and its proven? haha :P
